The Artist’s Ascent

Oil painting on wood shaped as New York. A Thomas Cole inspired piece, “A View of the Two Lakes and Mountain House, Catskills Mountains, Morning.” I strived to achieve similar lighting to the original, but with the scenery evolved to how it looks today, looking south from Sunset Rock. You’ll notice that the two lakes have joined over time!
